When I was eight years old, I decided that I was going to be a medical doctor. I was fascinated with diseases and their cures, and I had a real desire to help patients, so it made perfect sense to become a doctor. I volunteered at a hospital in high school and shadowed a group of radiologists my first year at university in preparation for my future career. As an undergraduate, I was a pre-med biology major. And then, halfway through my undergraduate studies, I changed my mind.
